Dave Powell Dave is a Cincinnati native, and has been improvising for thirteen years since his senior year at the College for Creative Studies. He graduated with a BFA in painting, but performance was the muse that kept him up at night. Dave has trained at the Second City in Detroit, graduating from their conservatory, writing, and graduate programs. While at Second City, he performed in the alternative revue To Catch a President. Dave has was a founding member of The Smarty Pants Theater Company, and has performed with the troupes Wilhelm Scream, Incredulity, and been a cast member of The All-Star Showdown at Go! Comedy. Dave has had the privilege of performing in the Chicago Improv Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival (Austin, TX), Detroit Improv Festival, Improvapalooza (Louisville, KY), and the Memphis Improv Festival. Dave is currently co-captain of OTRimprov and, like most improvisers, has let the philosophy of “yes, and…” take over his life.
