Level 1: Intro to Improv

Wednesdays, 7:00pm

January 15 to March 4

Your improv education starts here. If you are curious about improv, want more confidence in team settings at work, or just want to have fun, this is a great way to learn the basics of OTRimprov’s fun and joyous playing style. This low-stress, supportive environment is great for anyone who has never taken an improv class or been on stage.

Level 2: Intro to Short Form

Thursdays 7:00pm

January 16 to March 5

If you want to speed it up a little, try this class! Fast-paced and fun, you will learn to think quickly on your feet through simple improv games. You’ll grow your understanding of the basics of improv and how to play collaboratively with others. This class is designed for anyone interested in performing improv and also anyone who wants to find their confidence in front of a crowd. 

Completion of Level 1 is a prerequisite.

Level 3: Intro to Long Form 

Mondays, 7:00pm

January 13 to March 2

This class will teach you the basic components of a scene and how to combine scenes to explore larger ideas. You will learn how to feel more comfortable on a stage and present to an audience. Students will also learn how to collaborate with each other to build little ideas into large themes. You’ll explore your own creativity and learn how to listen intensely. 

Completion of Level 2 is a prerequisite. 

Level 4: Two-Person Scenes

Wednesdays, 7:00pm

January 15 to March 4

Great scenes make great shows. In this class you will learn how to make scenes stronger with your scene partner. You will focus on teamwork, listening, and making your work have meaning. This class is great for any improviser continuing their education, or anyone who wants to learn how to work with a partner.

Completion of the OTRimprov Fundamentals program, or similar training is a prerequisite.
